Actor Tanushree Dutta's business manager is readying to send a legal notice to the actor alleging breach of contract.
According to the manager Bholaram Malviya, the actor had terminated his contract without giving him a six month notice as stated in his contract with the actor. Says Bhola, "I would really like to know the reason for termination of my contract.
I would want to know what my fault is. I want to be paid compensation for six months. My remuneration is equal to 10 per cent of her performances," he rages.
Bhola alleges that the actor has not been following her duties as an artiste, she did not attend a Kolkata show that was held on New Year's Eve.
The organiser has now sent her notice of Rs 52 lakh for damages. Bhola feels that the actor did not want to pay him the 10 per cent commission that she is supposed to pay him for every show, film or stage performance and was looking for excuses to throw him out.
"I am the one to have got her her first film and till now have got her at least five films and multiple shows. She didn't have a car, I gave her one in the initial stages of her career, now she is throwing me out," he adds. But Tanushree has a different story to tell.
On her part, the actor alleges that her business manager had been neglecting her work for one year now. "I kept on warning him. People were calling me and telling me that he didn't take their calls. And I lost out on a lot of work because of Bhola," she alleges.
When asked about the Kolkata show that she did not attend on New Year's Eve, and the subsequent legal notice for not honouring the commitment, Tanushree says, "Bhola didn't give me the ticket, I had to book my own ticket.
Unfortunately, the flights got cancelled and I couldn't go to Kolkata. Although I have returned the money that was paid to me in advance, Bhola and the organiser are now trying to extort money out of me," she says.
